NAS has always seen itself as industry leaders, and as such, we feel it's our responsibility to put back into the industry what information we have gathered, and experiences gained, over the past 32 years by way of FREE industry training. The only cost to you is your time for the day, but I'm sure the knowledge and experience gained justifies the time. The course provides an introduction to Antenna Theory & Principles which naturally forms the basic understandings for designing an MATV system. The course runs for approx. 7 hours including an hour break for lunch with an afternoon tea break to refresh.
The course covers the following:
Australian Standards, signal measurements/field strength meters and system losses, noise/Bit Error Rate and amplifier gain.
Antenna location, MATV equipment location, wiring runs, additional services, loss calculations, ASW/NZS 1367:2000 compliance, Pay TV integration, Drawings/schematic layout and symbols. There will be a hands on component added to this session which will look at real world head-end situations.
Ghosts, poor signal, noise, interference & cross-modulation.
On completion, the student should be able to competently design and install MATV/SMATV systems in small to medium density multiple dwelling units, hotels and motels. Certificates will be issued to students on completion.
